ATC YXE is the home of ASTRA Soccer Academy, a Saskatoon based soccer program priding itself on skill development and player advancement. In September of 2021, the building was converted into a unique training centre intended to service ASTRA players while also providing a clubhouse environment for its growing membership. The training space is unique in that it focuses on the technical development of players through a very deliberate layout. Each training area is turfed and enclosed by walls. This design allows players to maximize the amount of time they spend with the ball, and the addition of walls allows for a multitude of technical training exercises meant to improve each player’s touch on the ball. The ability to execute skills and actions in a small space with limited time and maximal pressure is key to developing technical players of the highest calibre.

Outside of ASTRA Soccer Academy bookings, the facility is available for other teams or user groups to rent on an hourly basis. The space is primarily used for soccer training, but can also serve the following uses:

• Dodgeball Leagues

• Small-Sided Soccer Leagues

• Team Photos/Media Days

• Fitness Classes
